Tip of the Day: Soften Photos with Breath

When shooting an impromptu portrait that could use a little softening, try breathing on the lens right before releasing the shutter. The effect is like a soft-focus filter’s, but variable: The longer you wait to fire the shutter, the less the softening effect.

There is no such a thing!!!

For other effects you would stick something on the lens or even crack it ?!?

Hmm, I've tried this once and it can really give a nice effect.
I tried it on the following flowers:

And I must say I like the effect and am planning to also try it on portraits.

O, btw, cracking the lens might be a bit harsh ;).
