Combining Chewy and Edward Hopper Color The Result
You’ve probably heard that studying the masters of fine art can help you improve your photography. But what about using studying the masters to help you improve your image editing? Unfocused Brain posted this blog about how to perk up washed-out hues by using the palette of great painters. The author notes that he keeps about 30 of his favorite paintings saved on his hard drive to pull from whenever he wants to exercise a little creativity in brightening up one of his images.
Intrigued, I decided to test-drive Unfocused’s technique. I used a washed-out image of my stuffed wookiee (Chewy) summering in Rockport, MA, and combined it with Edward Hopper’s “Rooms by the Sea.” Techno Chewy!
