Photography Hall of Shame New Inductee

Hos_logo_7_revised_yet_again2 Our latest (dis)honoree in the PopPhoto Flash Hall of Shame is the security team for Detroit’s scandal-plagued mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick. A local reporter was filming the exterior of mayor’s home from across the street when he was confronted by a member of Kilpatrick’s security team. Although he was on public property, identified himself as working for a news station, he was still asked to leave. Then, as the photographer made his way back to his car, he was stopped again and asked to show ID, and told that he was now “under investigation.”

Result? The local Fox station that sent the photographer to the mayor’s home spoke to the mayor’s spokesperson, who said “If he (the officer) deems it suspicious activity, then we believe that it’s within his rights to investigate.”
Was it suspicious? Check out the video to judge for yourself
