Tip of the Day: Shoot Better Low Light Photos
When you’re in a low light
situation and can’t or don’t want to use your flash, try these tips to get
better photos:
• Use your camera’s highest ISO level to capture more light.
• Shoot in RAW so you have better control over the exposure later on.
• Try shooting in aperture priority mode using f1.8 or lower.

Of course if you really want the best out of a low light scene then putting the camera on a tripod or camera support such as a wall would really help in a lot of cases - then it would be an advantage to use the lowest ISO setting on the camera to increase the shutter speed and capture more light and less digital noise
