Your Photo: Our Critique

Critique 7c

Carl Popelar submitted this image taken with a Nikon D80, with an exposure of 1/125sec at f/5.6, ISO 100. This image is very dramatic in black and white. Both the light accentuating the tree and the intense sky contain strong detail. If possible, include the part of the tree that has been cut off in the top right corner of the frame. This would have helped to create a nice diagonal line and would make the image feel more complete. As a black and white image, this photo works nicely as the detail in the shadows defines the texture in the branches.
