Your Photo: Our Critique

Critique 7

Mikhail Mordkovich submitted this image taken with a Nikon D200, with an exposure of 1/350sec at f/10, ISO 400. This is a nice image taken through a window. Good job capturing the yellow sunlight coming through the icicle. Using an aperture of f/10 allows us to see the surrounding area, adding to the image.  The detail in the icicles and the surrounding trees is sharp and adds texture to the image. It is a shame that the icicle is so long, it ends up being cut off at the bottom. This is the perfect situation to take multiple shots of the icicle top to bottom and stitch them together. The result would be a vertical panorama.
