Tip of the Day: When you don't have a tripod

If you find yourself before a great, but poorly lit, shot without a tripod or steady surface to rest your camera on, try the "camera strap tripod trick." Derrick Story at Oreilly.com recommends that you let your camera strap hang to the floor and step on it. Then, pull your camera up until you have tension in the strap. "You'll be amazed at how steady you can hold the camera this way," he writes.
