Microsoft Poland Lack Photoshop Skills

Ms_poland_original
Without getting into any of the social implications of these images, it's safe to say that we would have expected a better Photoshop job out of Microsoft Poland. As you can clearly see from the images, they have replaced one man's head with another, seemingly as quickly as possible. Seriously, they didn't even bother to mess with the color of his hands. We're almost inclined to think that this was some kind of internal joke, never meant to get into the public eye. But, it's out there now and it's causing all sorts of outrage. Even if it didn't bring race issues to mind, the horrible angle and wildly inaccurate light source would still hurt to look at.

Even the original is just a bit better than horrible. You would think that Microsoft could feature something a bit more recognizably Microsoft than a MacBook with the Apple cloned out and a Dell monitor that's not plugged in.

Speaking of lacking skills, PopPhoto Flash lacks skills in grammar. The title should be "Microsoft Poland Lacks ...."

...Unless the writer is British, which might be a reasonable assumption if the offending ad is from Poland. It is customary practice to use plural verbs there for what Americans would commonly regard as singular nouns but have implied plurals. For instance, "The House of Commons are in session today." Listen to the BBC World Service for examples.
