Photoshop Nostalgia: Which version was your first?

Photoshop

Hongkiat.com has up a great history of Photoshop in the form of screenshots. From the Welcome screen to the Workspace, it's amazing how much has evolved. I nearly got misty-eyed. I guess, considering the hours a day I spend in the program, it's not surprising that I'm a little attached.

My first version was 5. Which was yours?

Mine was photoshop 7. There was a yard sale with 1 beat up computer in the front. I fell in love with the Mac's in my high school computer room so I refused to buy a PC, but I couldn't resist a "steal-deal". When I turned on the computer, I knew instantly I'd struck gold: The spanking new Photoshop 7 was fully installed.

CS4 I'm a new comer to the game. :)

V 2.5.1 for me. Installed it with floppies on Windows 3.1. There were no layers...the dark ages.

Pfff, I remember when I was struggling along with Pixelpaint Professional, and Photoshop was still a mysterious beta product available only to the favored few. I'd see amazing (by back-in-the-day standards) images in magazines and read in the captions that they were created with "Adobe Photoshop technology," and wonder when I'd be able to get my hands on it.

Now I'm kind of tired of living in an over-Photoshopped visual world, and revel in the occasional rare opportunity to use an "as-is" image straight out of the camera! No pleasing some people, is there?

2.5 at school, 3.0 at work...it was but a few years ago.
