NASA Releases Satellite Image from 9/11

You have doubtlessly seen countless images of the events of 9/11/01 by now, but this one is quite different. Released by NASA, this is what the plume of smoke looked like from space. I think this is superb image I have ever seen. I see 9/11 in tv lots of time but this image is just awesome.

I'm always astonished when I see images like this from 9/11 - how brutal it was, how far the damages could be seen. Great image but also sad.
